Nigeria’s Club Sounds: The Rise of The Alté Movement
With the explosive and record-breaking international success of Nigeria’s extremely vibrant club and pop music scene over the past few years, ADE Beats invites visionary artist TeeZee, a founder and pioneer of West Africa's eclectic alté movement - the most exciting, refreshing and influential cultural phenomenon in the region and ready to explode on the world stage.
Lagos based Teni “TeeZee” Zaccheaus represents a New Generation outlook at the intersection of culture. He is co-founder and president of NATIVE Records, an exclusive label joint venture with Def Jam Recordings US, and the first of its kind in Africa - and co-founder of THE NATIVE, a Black-owned, multi-platform media company dedicated to the discovery and development of young African artists and youth culture.
TeeZee has been spearheading the game changing alté movement, that has been having a tremendous impact on the hugely popular global afrobeats scene. TeeZee’s music is as diverse as his persona blurring the genre/gender lines, and he has been taking his talent around the world, bringing exciting artists like Skepta, Davido, Kid Cudi, Tems and many others to his world sonically and stylistically.
As TeeZee is looking to cement his place as one of Africa's leading performers, he is also well on his way to become one of Nigeria’s first young music moguls with an ambition to take the addictive and eclectic sound and style of his generation and buzzing scene all over the globe.
