Workshop Revelland: Make your event immersive and inclusive

Accessibility of an event is often seen as something difficult: something that costs money, time and effort and nobody knows how to do it. And if something happens about inclusion, it often leads to exclusion. Think of a wheelchair stage that is very suitable for the view lines but which separates the wheelchair user from the group of friends that person comes with. With that image in mind, it is not surprising that development in this area is proceeding very slowly.

Sam Piek, Mariannne Dijkshoorn and Nikki Manuputty will share how to approach accessibility from a creative point of view. This way you can offer a program that is both immersive and inclusive. The moment the regular public also benefits from an investment in the field of accessibility, it becomes much easier to get started. In this session, we guide attendees in a new way of looking at things that make the discussion about inclusion a lot lighter and, above all, easier!

Possibilize created this interactive workshop building upon best-practice and knowledge from the European network Revelland. Revelland is a collective network of passionate artists, directors and event organisers, determined to make performing arts accessible to everyone. They're on a quest for cultural transcendence through immersive experiences. There will be room for dialogue, ideas and questions.
