That Garage Sound - It's a London Thing XXV

When Scott Garcia released ‘It’s A London Thing’ in 1997 he could not have envisioned it making such a big impact. Now 25 years later it is known as one of the biggest, if not the biggest UK Garage anthem.

After the chart success in the UK, ‘It’s A London Thing’ also crossed the border to enter the charts in other countries such as The Netherlands. Up until then UK Garage was not really a well known genre in The Netherlands, but ‘It’s A London Thing’ changed that and soon it gained popularity. Not only in the clubs but also by influencing a lot of Dutch producers.

To celebrate its 25th anniversary Scott Garcia and the It's a London Thing brand team up with Amsterdam based Garage promoter That Garage Sound by hosting an event during the Amsterdam Dance Event. The event will take place at the Kopstootbar at the famous Leidseplein, right in the heart of Amsterdam. The line up features the man of the hour himself Scott Garcia, alongside some of the finest names in underground house and garage from the UK and Europe : Blondski and Professor X (IALT), Earful of Wax B2B Shuffle 'n' Swing (ADE exclusive!), TMSN (Operate, Berlin) and last but not least That Garage Sound residents Michael Pieterse, Xamount and Paul Nonnis.

Entrance fee: No admission fee before 11pm. After 11pm you pay the reasonable price of 5 euros (door only!)

Festival FAQ

Yes, all official ADE Festival events listed on the ADE website are accessible with your ADE Pro Pass (limited capacity at venues). When capacity has been reached, a one in one out rule applies.

A very limited number of events, including the Nils Frahm seated concert at Concertgebouw and the Eric Prydz HOLO show have had an RSVP list for Pro Pass holders. Only the RSVP grants entry to the shows.

For (individual) festival tickets make sure to check out our program and simply add tickets to your basket as you explore all events.

Tip: Filter the program by "Show only events with available tickets" to get a quick view.

Most festival events have an age limit of 18+ (and sometimes even 21+ or 23+), these are Dutch governmental rules which say that below the age of 18 you are not allowed to enter a club. Please double-check the promotors website to be sure you can enter the event.

We dance together, so please be mindful of yourself and each other. We expect an open attitude from our visitors towards other guests, regardless of their origin, gender, sexual orientation, religion and age.
