Paul van Dyk

During ADE 2012, trance legend Paul van Dyk took over Melkweg with a four hour long (!) set, and this edition he's back to show us once again why he's one of the best of the world. Paul grew up in communist East Berlin, and experienced the new booming club culture after the reunification from the front row. He went searching for an alternative for the hard Detroit techno that dominated the Berlin club culture - and his unique sound was born.

The new show concept AAA will see Paul van Dyk offering fans an All Access Areas view into his sights and sounds for this exclusive event, taking the helm for an open to close set that is set to captivate and show a kaleidoscope of sounds from the super producer. With an extended set that will be intertwined with custom visuals to offer a glimpse into his world, from his travels to enthralling graphics and never-before-seen shots, it will be a showcase that will elongate throughout the night, with Paul as architect, will produce a rare A/V experience like no other.

Festival FAQ

Yes, all official ADE Festival events listed on the ADE website are accessible with your ADE Pro Pass (limited capacity at venues). When capacity has been reached, a one in one out rule applies.

A very limited number of events, including the Nils Frahm seated concert at Concertgebouw and the Eric Prydz HOLO show have had an RSVP list for Pro Pass holders. Only the RSVP grants entry to the shows.

For (individual) festival tickets make sure to check out our program and simply add tickets to your basket as you explore all events.

Tip: Filter the program by "Show only events with available tickets" to get a quick view.

Most festival events have an age limit of 18+ (and sometimes even 21+ or 23+), these are Dutch governmental rules which say that below the age of 18 you are not allowed to enter a club. Please double-check the promotors website to be sure you can enter the event.

We dance together, so please be mindful of yourself and each other. We expect an open attitude from our visitors towards other guests, regardless of their origin, gender, sexual orientation, religion and age. If you see or experience any unwanted attention, harassment or behavior of any kind that makes you uncomfortable, please speak out and notify staff.

Please keep in mind: we love being your annual host, therefore, we would like to ask you to enjoy responsibly.
