GDE - Gay Dance Event return's to Amsterdam and will bring this year a new venue to the festival, Taboo Amsterdam. All our events have a clear message in opposition to gender discrimination, racism and homophobia. We celebrate life and love! With this new venue joining ADE we will start with showcasing some of the djs impacting the gay scene from the PRIDE stages around the world to all LGBTQ+ clubs on da planet. Its all about diversity and inclusivity and to spice it up this year we add on some of the most fabulous Drag queensGD to the night, we teamed up with the weekly fabulous cocktail night at Taboo and will present some of the best drag shows in town. Its going to be a fun night to start your ADE with diversity and inclusivity!
We are happy to present Taboo to the Amsterdam Dance Event edition 2022. For the first time joining ADE, Taboo bar is one of the most popular bars in Amsterdam. It's located in the Reguliersdwarsstraat, one of the main party streets, a paved area for pedestrians with many bars and restaurants. Popular among the LGBT community and a very central Amsterdam location, Taboo is a vibrant and hip venue. The ambiance is very cozy and sees many night-time revelers enjoying their time. Built in an old Amsterdam's house, Taboo's new interior is one of a kind and very stylish, giving a very unique touch to the bar. The large windows view on the street provides a full experience on what the city is about during ADE. Festival FAQ
Yes, all official ADE Festival events listed on the ADE website are accessible with your ADE Pro Pass (limited capacity at venues). When capacity has been reached, a one in one out rule applies.
A very limited number of events, including the Nils Frahm seated concert at Concertgebouw and the Eric Prydz HOLO show have had an RSVP list for Pro Pass holders. Only the RSVP grants entry to the shows.
For (individual) festival tickets make sure to check out our program and simply add tickets to your basket as you explore all events.
Tip: Filter the program by "Show only events with available tickets" to get a quick view.
Most festival events have an age limit of 18+ (and sometimes even 21+ or 23+), these are Dutch governmental rules which say that below the age of 18 you are not allowed to enter a club. Please double-check the promotors website to be sure you can enter the event.
We dance together, so please be mindful of yourself and each other. We expect an open attitude from our visitors towards other guests, regardless of their origin, gender, sexual orientation, religion and age. If you see or experience any unwanted attention, harassment or behavior of any kind that makes you uncomfortable, please speak out and notify staff.
