Rush Hour

Rush Hour’s labels started in 1999 with its first release just before 2000. From the beginning Rush Hour made itself into a shelter for music lovers all over the world. The reputation they build comes mostly from the fact that they always focus on music they believe in. They started with importing unknown house and techno records from all over the world, but later on also started exporting similar dutch minded releases overseas. The label was and still is releasing a mix of upcoming local and international talent next to the more established names.

Rush Hour has been organizing events and parties since 1998. They started with a monthly event at Paradiso in Amsterdam with guests like Moodymann, Theo Parrish, Rick Wilhite, Roy Davis, Kerri Chandler, Joe Claussell, Danny Krivit and many more. Later on they started hosting events at Mazzo, Bitterzoet, Trouw and more venues around the city. They also try to work with like minded souls at Rush Hour nights in big cities around the world such as London, Paris, New York, Tokyo and Berlin. Most importantly, wherever they go and whatever they do it’s never driven by hype. It’s a company that works from the heart and soul and their passion for music.
