Recording Masterclass by Marcela Rada

Marcela is a Colombian-Canadian sound engineer, who is currently based in Spain. She has recorded across music genres as well as symphony orchestras, film scoring sessions and electroacoustic ensembles. Marcela holds a Master’s Degree from Berklee College of Music with an emphasis on Music Production, Technology, and Innovation; her thesis focused on ambisonic audio and its application to 360 videos for VR and social media platforms. But for all this expertise, she is also highly focused on empowering beginners too. She is a mentor at She Knows Tech – a platform designed to empower women in music while creating a safe space for open discussion in closing the gender gap in the industry. And for her ADE Mix Masterclass, she will be looking at what can be achieved in a home recording environment: explaining signal flow, microphone types and techniques, analogue to digital converters, recording software and more. This will be an absolutely vital session for those with limited experience looking to find their signature sound and take their music to the next level.

Please bear in mind that ADE Sound Lab tickets receive priority access. In case there are still a few seats available ten minutes before the session, we will open the doors for ADE Card holders.
