Dr. Martens honours electronic music's subculture and partners up with ADE

Thursday, 06 October 2022
Dr. Martens partners up with ADE for the first time, honouring the subculture of electronic music. The iconic footwear brand has many surprises for festivalgoers in store, including a carefully curated line-up of DJs at ADE's free closing event The Hangover, and other activities you shouldn't miss if you're a fan of DM's.

From punk to dance

Dr. Martens has had rebellious self-expression in its DNA since the first pair of Dr. Martens rolled off the production line back in 1960. In the six decades that have followed, Dr. Martens boots and shoes have been adopted by diverse individuals, musicians, youth cultures and tribes. From punk to electronic music and countless genres in between, DM’s have become a symbol of empowerment and a wardrobe staple for music subcultures across the globe.

Staying true to its musical heritage, Dr. Martens invites you to join in on the fun at ADE. Before hanging up your boots after five days of dancing, walking and exploring, be sure to join Dr. Martens for one last round of fun at the ADE Hangover event to close off the week. Come by the Dr. Martens Boot Room stage to appreciate a carefully curated line-up including the likes of Jennifer Loveless, Bastienne, Mella Dee, Intercity 106 (live) and more.

Get swept off your feet

Kick it up a notch and get fully immersed in DM’s by visiting the brand’s lounge area above the stage, where you can get your Docs decked out and customised for free. Even if you fancy your boots just the way they are, they might need some cleaning after five days of ADE and might benefit from a free boot clean service. Dr. Martens has got you covered on all things shiny, as well as a chill-out area to give your feet some rest.

In addition to being present at ADE’s closing event on Sunday, Dr. Martens will host an in-store event at their Hartenstraat 16 location on ADE Thursday, where free customisation, drinks, and DJ sets will be on the menu.

Don’t miss a beat and stay up to date with what DM’s will be getting up to during ADE by following them on Instagram here.

Join Dr. Martens on ADE Thursday for their in-store event, and on Sunday at the ADE Hangover.
