Downtown Amsterdam is ADE’s beehive. The historic center district roughly spans the whole of the canal belt, and plays host to most of the venues and events that make up the Amsterdam Dance Event. Lady Bee Invites | Club NYX | 23:00 - 05:30
Club NYX derived its name from the Greek goddess of the night (the daughter of chaos), and as you might expect, the LGBTQ venue knows how to live up to that title. The multi-storey Berlinesque club is the domain of Lady Bee tonight, and the Dutch DJ and MC has invited a motley crew of artists to serve you trap, house, and everything in between. FIGHT CLVB, Green Tree (of Dirtcaps fame), Sander Kleinenberg, WIDE AWAKE and Wonderface are among the DJs on duty.
ADE LIVE | Melkweg | 19:00 - 00:00
Just like the last four years, live music gets a serious spotlight within Amsterdam Dance Event. De Melkweg, located right next to Leidseplein, is hosting one half of ADE LIVE, a two-day festival where you can indulge yourself in upcoming electronic live-acts as well as household names like Apparat, De Sluwe Vos, and Matias Aguayo tonight.
DJ EZ | Paradiso | 00:00 - 06:00
Paradiso is undoubted pop temple of Amsterdam, and tonight the former church is welcoming none other than UK garage icon DJ EZ. The turntablist will also perform under his house and techno guise Elvin Zedo. Speaking of those genres, Paradiso will have lots of it on display as Antenna, Betonkust, Palmbomen II, Skee Mask and Zenker Brothers are dishing their signature sounds at a set of different events inside the building.
Audio Obscura | Lil’ Amsterdam | 22:00 - 05:00
Amsterdam crew Audio Obscura is specialised in bringing exquisite electronic music to off-locations and venues that you wouldn’t normally associate with dance. This year, they are hosting a melee of events. One of them will hook you up with a pairing of Motor City Drum Ensemble and local legend Young Marco right underneath the train tracks at Amsterdam’s Central Station. Another one welcomes Joris Voorn at Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ, together with the likes of Anja Schneider, Hot Since 82 and Kölsch, among others.
Topbillin’ x Appelsap | Chin Chin Club | 22:00 - 05:00
If you feel like mixing things up, why not check out the display of Dutch hip-hop that Topbillin’ and Appelsap are concocting at Chin Chin Club? The booking agency and the festival organisation join hands to showcase some of the country’s rising stars and legends like Adje, The Partysquad and Yung Internet.
