Centre - Friday

Thursday, 17 October 2019
Two down, three days and nights to go. If you’re in need of your daily ADE fix, look no further. Together with Desperados, we will show you what’s what in Amsterdam’s city centre today.

Downtown Amsterdam is ADE’s beehive. The historic center district roughly spans the whole of the canal belt, and plays host to most of the venues and events that make up the Amsterdam Dance Event. That extensive offering of activity can make planning your ADE day relatively difficult. Don’t worry though, we’re here to help. Check out or tips for the day below.

KLEAR | Paradiso | 23:00 - 06:00

Amsterdam’s pop temple Paradiso is opening its doors for the fifth anniversary of KLEAR tonight. If you’re up for bass and UK garage you should definitely drop by to have a look. Soulection’s DKVPZ, JAEL, Jeftuz, Jarreau Vandal, Paul Mond, Don Mayor & jmac and many others will serve up a bass-laden musical birthday cake in the former church.

Heist x Eglo | Claire | 23:00 - 07:00

Head over to Rembrandtplein to find Heist Recordings and Eglo Records team up at Claire tonight to mash up electronic grooves from Amsterdam, London, LA and Italy. The likes of Alexander Nut, Detroit Swindle, J Rocc, Nu Guinea and Volcov will explore disco, house, garage and everything in between.

Smash The House | AIR | 22:00 - 06:00

Just around the corner you’ll come across club AIR, who are venturing into everything from big room house to progressive. Angemi, Bassjackers, Sem Vox, Sidney Samson and Wolfpack are set to push the club’s renowned sound system to the limit, which promises to be quite the spectacle.

Appelsap x Tommy | Bitterzoet | 23:00 - 04:00

Looking to change things up? Make sure to drop by Bitterzoet, just a stones throw away from Central Station and Dam Square. They’re tuning into hip-hop heavy frequencies together with one of the city's foremost institutions on the subject: Appelsap. Mike Skinner (aka The Streets) will headline with a DJ set, and he’s supported by local dons Adje, Black Mamba and Vic Crezée.

ADE Beats | Melkweg Expo | 11:00 - 18:30

Speaking of hip-hop: throughout the day, ADE Beats is taking over de Melkweg for a deep dive into everything the genre has to offer. There will be Q&As and panels with Top Notch, Def Jam’s Nicki Farag, and Jarreau Vandal to name just a few, and the program will tell you everything you need to know about the current state of what might be the world’s biggest genre.
