Robyn van Gorsel (NL)

Robyn van Gorsel is an Amsterdam-based freelance music journalist, author, moderator and radio host specialising in electronic music, nightlife, and club culture. Her work has appeared in publications including NRC, Het Financieele Dagblad, DJ Mag, OOR, Cosmopolitan, LINDA., and Het Parool, where she writes interviews, profiles, long-form features, and reviews exploring both the music itself and the culture and industry surrounding it. In 2026, she published For the Record, a book tracing the rise of Dutch dance music and exploring how the Netherlands became one of the world’s most influential electronic music countries. Through her work, she is particularly interested in the people and stories behind dance music, from its underground communities and nightlife spaces to the artists and industry shaping its future.
