Proximare ()
Proximāre (Latin): to come or draw near, to approach, be near.
Proximare is a spatial light installation composed of two circular structures of different sizes, along which sources of light travel.
A system caught in a continuous cycle of approach and separation. Drawn together, held apart, orbiting each other without collision.
The light sources move along their respective paths, influencing one another through shifting relationships of attraction and repulsion. Relative distance becomes their common language, shaping an evolving dialogue between light, movement and sound.
Proximare premiered this year at Mapping Festival at the Musée d’Art et d’Histoire in Geneva.
