Lauren Lo Sung is known for her dub techno sound entwined with grooves, breaks and impeccable basslines, with her sound heavily influenced by the intricacies of Chicago and Detroit house. The warm textures and ascribed complex layers of sound still keep true to her roots with that UK underground feel. Laurens career is fuelled by the success of her established club night LOLiFE, which launched in 2009 and has been a huge success at underground venues across Manchester and Liverpool. It has showcased a number of cutting edge artists including Jordan Peak, Samu.l, No Artificial Colours amongst others and from this LOLiFE was selected as an official clubbing partner of Manchester’s finest ‘The Warehouse Project’. Lauren also started her own vinyl / digital label last year called e1even Records with Sian Bennett, there is plenty in the pipeline for e1even records, with EP’s ready to release soon! Alongside DJing, producing and starting her label, Lauren has been running her own podcast series on Soundcloud, featuring mixes from some of her favourite artists at the moment. Featured include; Chad Andrew, David Gtronic, Rhadow & more. Throughout her progressive career, Lauren has shown true determination along side her natural flair, which simultaneously has led to a number of her productions being released on labels such as; Deep Tech Records, DRAFT, Innocent Music, Love Not Money and Pole Position Records. With her latest release on the prestigious Yoruba Grooves instantly charting in the top 10 on Beatports “Minimal” Chart and reaching number 6. Her solid basslines with smooth harmonic turns have grabbed the attention of many high profile artists such as; Carl Cox, Yousef, DJ Sneak, Huxley, Hector amongst others. 2016 has already been extremely busy for Lauren, with her residences at both CIRCUS Liverpool and TRMNL Birmingham saw her sharing the stage with today’s biggest names such as The Martinez Brothers, Marco Carola and Yousef to name a few. Her summer schedule has been packed full of massive shows, already playing at Manchester’s famed festival, Parklife, and up next for fellow Safehouse DJ Carl Cox, at his legendary Music Is Revolution nights at Ibiza super club, Space.
