He holds an MBA degree in International Business and is known for his charismatic personality and down to earth nature. A foodie by nature, Joy loves to explore new places and seek inspiration for his future ventures. A true Punjabi by heart, he loves to socialize, throw parties and live life to the fullest. Two unconventional Non delhities, not from the F&B background came together for their passion and inclination towards food and music. Mr. Goumtesh Singh started Raasta in the year 2012 with its first branch at the popular restaurant hub, Hauz Khas with another lover of Rastafarian culture: Mr. Rahul Kundan. With the immense love of the city folks for the Hauz Khas outlet, the two entrepreneurs took the brand a step ahead by opening another one at the elite Cyber Hub with the thought of providing a laid back time to the corporate environment of the adjoining Cyber City. With the immense success of the two Raasta outlets, the entrepreneur duo is planning to expand their business by opening few more restaurants with different concept by the end of this year. Joy, as known among his friends and Rahul Kundan believe in Rastafarian culture that is a way of life dedicated in the rejection of materialism and embracing greater spiritual values. They believe and live on the thought of bringing alive a more free-spirited approach to life and this found its physical form as Raasta. The Caribbean lounge religiously follows the Jamaican born singer-Bob Marley whose soulful lyrics make Rastafarian culture popular in mainstream music and their patrons. The two young entrepreneurs believe in discovering and promoting the new talent spread in our country. Towards this, they keep on encouraging newer and fresher talents to come over to Raasta, showcase their talent. Joy Singh and Rahul Kundan , the young promoters of Raasta are delighted that a concept like Raasta has been well accepted in Delhi, and that the city crowd has enjoyed the different genres of music played at the lounge with such enthusiasm. To keep the zest on, Raasta dedicates each night to some astounding themes like Ladies Night, Reggae Night, Karaoke Night etc and hosts some tremendous musicians and DJ’s to keep the place exciting like Nucleya, Midival Punditz, Dualist Inquiry, Tippa Irie, Apache etc.
