Ishaan Pasricha (GB)

Ishaan Pasricha is a music industry strategist and corporate finance adviser working at the intersection of music, technology and capital. He is the founder of Soundwave Strategy, an independent advisory firm supporting music companies, technology businesses, founders, catalogue funds and investors on growth strategy, corporate development, fundraising and emerging business models.

He currently advises senior leadership at UMG on competitive strategy, emerging technology, investment opportunities and long-term growth. His work spans AI, music rights and licensing, distribution, catalogue investment, artist financing, creator tools, data infrastructure, fan engagement and workflow technology.

Through Soundwave Strategy, Ishaan works across the music-tech ecosystem, helping businesses test business models, challenge financial forecasts, assess unit economics, shape investor positioning and understand how strategic buyers and different pools of capital may value them. He also advises on music-rights and catalogue investment, including asset valuation, acquisition economics, leverage, yield and return profiles, and the role of technology in improving underwriting, rights management and monetisation.

Before focusing exclusively on music technology and media, Ishaan spent more than a decade in investment banking and corporate finance, advising on M&A, IPOs and private capital transactions across Europe, the US and emerging markets at Rothschild & Co.

He is an Expert Member of Music Technology UK, a Board Trustee of Soundabout, and a guitarist and recording artist who has toured, performed and recorded across the UK, US, Singapore and India.
