Fidelity Kastrow (DE)

Artist & Speaker
Berlin raised Fidelity Kastrow played her first DJ-gig in 2007 in her hometown Berlin and landed her first international DJ-booking only two months after at Egg London. Two months later, she played at Tresor´s re-opening weekend at their new venue Kraftwerk Berlin, subsequently becoming a regular guest DJ at the iconic techno club. She went on to headline the main rooms of UK superclubs including Canvas, Mass and SeOne when joining London´s itinerant alternative fetish institution Torture Garden as a resident by the end of 2007 and simultaneously picked up a monthly residency at Tresor in 2009. In 2010, she played her debut at Berlin´s best kept secret underground warehouse club, Sisyphos. Specialising in spinning emotional, energetic, high-intensity techno, Fidelity Kastrow consequently joined Sisyphos as a monthly resident in 2012, performing extended DJ-sets in Hammahalle, the cavernous Funktion One filled warehouse space that´s become the heart of the sprawling East Berlin club compound. Criss-crossing the globe in the meantime to play at festivals including Exit (Serbia), Melt (Germany), Milkshake (Holland), Secret Island Nation (Sweden), Souterrain Porte (France) and clubs such as Beirut´s The Grand Factory, Fidelity Kastrow has since picked up another UK residency in 2015 at the acclaimed quarterly ´Berlin Berlin´ night at Egg London. Alongside DJing, Fidelity Kastrow co-presents the weekly radio show Berlin Soul which is broadcast across an expanding international network spanning 56 terrestrial FM stations plus web broadcasters including Pioneer DJ Radio (Ibiza), Dance Paradise (Brazil / South America), Radio Tulum (Mexico), Underground FG (France) and BLN.FM (Germany). As a songwriter, lyricist and vocalist she´s written and co-written tracks and delivered vocals for Inspiral Carpets´ Martyn Walsh´s solo project Spartak and released her own dark techno 12inch vinyl EP on Sisyphos´ label Sisyphon (Full Moon Falcon and Heyoka) including remixes by DJ Emerson (CLR), Sacha Robotti (Dirtybird) and Thomas Schumacher (Electric Ballroom).
