The festival has a broad policy on fossil-free and zero-emission transport. For instance, all hired-in building equipment is already electric, as is its own local artist transport. Artists themselves are also financially rewarded via a fixed fee per travel crew when choosing the train or electric van instead of flying or driving a fossil-fuelled car.

The Good Travel Programme encourages visitors to leave their fossil-fuelled car at home, which resulted in almost 20% fewer fossil-fuelled car travellers over 4 years, thanks to growth in train and festival-bus visitors.
