Daan Stigter (NL)
Daan Stigter is a sustainability manager in the live events sector, specializing in sustainable travel and transport. He pioneered the first-ever emission-free theater tour, visiting over 20 venues across the Netherlands—all powered by an electric truck.
Last summer, Daan was part of a groundbreaking project for the Dutch national government, designing new measures to reduce carbon emissions from audience travel at four major festivals: Into the Great Wide Open, Wilde Weide, Wildeburg, and Mysteryland. The initial results were highly promising: all participating festivals successfully shifted up to 15% of all visitors from fossil-fueled cars to sustainable alternatives, such as the fossil-free festival bus and public transport.
Facing a mobility challenge? With his experience from the diverse projects, Daan is eager to help brainstorm and find tailored solutions during the speed date session.
