Carlo Dinardo (GB)

Speaker (Firebird, SVP Recorded Music and Publishing)

Carlo is SVP Recorded Music and Publishing at Firebird Music, having joined as UK CFO in 2024. The remit spans label oversight, M&A, restructuring, operations and group strategy across recorded music, publishing, live and artist joint ventures.

Over twenty years, Carlo has sat on most sides of the ownership question in music: inside a major, inside a family-owned independent, inside a family office deploying private capital, and now inside a group building an alternative to both the majors and the pure-play catalogue funds.

Carlo's career began at Deloitte, advising music and entertainment clients, followed by six years at Sony Music Entertainment, rising from analyst to Director of Strategy and Business Development and contributing to the early European negotiations with Spotify, Apple and Amazon that set the terms on which recorded music is owned and monetised today. His time there spanned the industry's transformation from the collapse of physical sales into the rise of digital.

Since then he has been CFO of ZTT Records, SARM Studios and Perfect Songs Publishing; founder of advisory practice Paper London, acting for artists, managers and business owners on the rights side of the argument; VP of Finance at Creative Artists Agency; and CFO and Head of Operations of Freelands Group, the family office of one of the world's most prominent media families.

Firebird Music is a next generation music company providing career and brand guidance to over 1,000 artists worldwide, helping them build broader global audiences and longer, more profitable careers. Founded by Nat Zilkha and Nathan Hubbard, its partners include Red Light Management, Mick Management, Transgressive, Defected, Graduation, JET, Tape Room and Easier Said.
