Marc robijn Aka Baba Robijn is a dj who’s been around since 1994, He learned the craft of djing while playing jungle / drum and bass for 6 years. And hosted his Monday nights at amsterdams first Dj café Abraxis at night. On the millennium beach party on koh pang nang in 2000 ,he bumped in to members of the supperclub and decided it was time for a change. He got his residency there and began to play lounge and deephouse. Slowly his popularity rose and after co compiling some of the famous suppeclub cd’s it was time for his solo project. In 2007 he compiled his cd “arrogance” and reached nr #1 in the dutch electronic download charts from Itunes for 2 weeks,. Topping moby , café del mar and other bigshots. Simultaneous he met some dj’s in goa where baba robijn resides in the winter, and started to get involved in the dance scene there. His deep amsterdam style combined with tech and deephouse is well known there. In 2010 he released on 90Watts rec his first track “Eight finger Eddie” together with Jens the Langer. Now Baba Robijn is a main player in the Goa dance scene and plays all around clubs in india and since 2008 he is a regular on india’s biggest Dance festival SUNBURN. On the 2013 episode he was chosen to play on the big Mark Knight stage and played together with Marco Bailey on sunburns afterparty. He also played 2008 and 2009 on Glastonbury programmed aside dave seaman and derrick may. Because of his succes in india he's now playing across the globe and has many residencies in amsterdam
