The Business Life Of An Artist With Joris Voorn
Joris Voorn
Moderator: Lina Ugrinovska
Most artists tend to steer clear of taking on the added responsibility of running a business, but a few love the challenge, and Joris Voorn, owner of Spectrum and co-owner of Rejected Records and Green Records, is one of that rare breed. Since his breakthrough 2002 EP Muted Trax, Voorn's artistic career has revealed a diverse taste for experimentation and variety through his solo work as well as via collaborations with Mathew Dear, Underworld, Kid A, his father and many more. So how does Joris Voorn manage to keep all the plates spinning and how does he separate his artistic and business obligations?
