Nxt Museum x Transmoderna present: AiR

After 2 years of stomping reunions with the dancefloor, Nxt Museum and ADE are back again to bring you 3 nights of audiovisual dance culture. Joining forces with Transmoderna, a digital art and electronic music collective co-founded by world renowned DJ Dixon, get ready for a multi-dimensional dance experience immersed in 370sqm of pulsating pixels and the latest in upcoming electronic music talent. This year’s Artist in Residence programme supports and joins together local and international talent, guiding creatives to bring forth specially commissioned digital artworks matched with live DJ performances. Blast off to digital realms of light, sound and dance as your senses awaken to the light of the night.

This year, Nxt Museum is partnering with Vertical Crypto Art (VCA) to bring IRL experiences to the blockchain by capturing memorable moments of our ADE performances through live minting tech – across the 3 day programme. In addition, Nxt Museum and VCA are launching an NFT sale of limited editions by musicians & visual artists from this year’s programme. Find more information here

Transmoderna is a hybrid collective situated at the intersection of electronic music and digital arts. Alongside a multi-disciplinary team of new media artists, co-founders DJ Dixon and creative director Ana Ofak cross-breed competencies of the music industry, VR cinematography, and game development. The outcomes disrupt the ordinary.

Nxt Museum, the home of new media art, is the first museum in the Netherlands dedicated to art, technology, science and sound. It exhibits and commissions ambitious, large-scale new media art installations born of interdisciplinary collaboration between artists, designers, technologists, sound builders and scientists. The programme is led by Nxt Museum's founding mission to seek, show and question what’s next.

The Artist in Residence programme is a collaboration between Nxt Museum and the Amsterdam Dance Event Foundation, which provides a space for experimentation and high level performance on the borders of art and electronic music.
