Spaces: Brain Hacking Breakfast

A brainy breakfast
As you might know, music is a good brainfood. It activates parts in your brain that make you happier, smarter and more productive. But the functioning of the brain can also be influenced by what we eat. This breakfast session gives you a sneak peek into your own brain. Orthomolecular therapist Wout van Helden tells more about the functionality of our brains, neurotransmitters and the impact on your performance and behaviour. During this event you will learn how to get more out of your brain with the right nutrition and lifestyle.

Brainfood for thought

So, as you can imagine: this is not your ordinary morning meal. After this breakfast you can kickstart your ADE week with full awareness of the functioning of your brain. You will walk out of the door with personal insight into the functioning of the following neurotransmitters in your brain:

  • Dopamine: influences the power of the brain
  • Acetylcholine: affects the processing speed of information
  • GABA: arranges matters such as relaxation and stability
  • Serotonin: gives a good feeling and provides mental flexibility
