ADE Lab Opening Keynote with A-Trak: Developing Artistry from Scratch

None other than the man who remixed many of the hottest pop tunes out there joins ADE Lab for a one-on-one interview about his career on ADE Wednesday: A-Trak opens up in a Keynote speech. The Canadian DJ became DMC World DJ Champion at fifteen, scored massive hits like 'Barbara Streisand' as Ducksauce, and released music by then-new talents like Kid Cudi. Learn from the man behind Fool's Gold Records how to kickstart your career.

Power of Mentorship with DJ Bone & the FURTHER Family

The Detroit techno icon DJ Bone shows us the power of mentorship and the importance of community during ADE Lab, where he shares his expertise and skills with upcoming artists. Having benefited from the guidance of some of the greatest names from the scene himself, including his long-standing friendship with Laurent Garnier, DJ Bone has shifted his focus to preserving cultural aspects and art forms that define the essence of electronic music over the last few years. Join him, his mentees Azucy and Toñio Flaco, plus Operations Manager Emma Davison from the FURTHER family on ADE Friday at Brakke Grond. Make sure to catch DJ Bone's Q&A session about his production process afterwards, too.

Beyond the Breaks&Beats with Femme Bass Mafia

Femme Bass Mafia is a DJ mentoring program for femme, trans, and non-binary people, focusing on bass music and creating safer learning spaces. During this three-hour, intimate workshop with hosting artists MSJY and Dangermami, you'll learn everything you need to know about getting into the industry in the most sustainable way possible. These two Berlin-based artists will lead you through a crash course on starting as a (touring) DJ.

Get creating 〰

It all starts with a beat

The Modular Waters of Voices from the Lake

The iconic friendship between Donato Dozzy and Neel has brought us much more than just their influential self-titled album 'Voices From The Lake' - some say it's reshaped the album format for techno. Join the pair on ADE Thursday for a session hosted by DJ Mag, where digital editor Rob McCallum sits down with both to discuss the making of the album, its story, and its impact before breaking down the production techniques of this album.

Finding Yourself in Sound with Nsasi

Nyege Nyege regular and Uganda underground music symbol Nsasi is a role model for many, especially when finding and creating your sound. They elaborate on their journey of self-discovery through sound in a conversation with curator and researcher Bogomir Doringer of Nxt Museum. The two talk about Nsasi's audacious fusion of traditional rhythms and cutting-edge compositions where acid-infused beats collide with Kiganda percussion and East African Trap. As a founding member of the Anti Mass collective, Nsasi continues to push boundaries and captivate audiences with a fluid style.
