30 YEARS ADE: shaped by many, moving as one
.
At the heart of this year’s anniversary is the 30 YEARS ADE Icon Series, bringing together thirty events from across the program that reflect on electronic music’s legacy while looking towards its future. Jean-Michel Jarre joins ADE as Guest of Honour, also marking the 50th anniversary of ‘Oxygene’ at AFAS Live, an exclusive keynote interview at ADE Pro and further appearances throughout the week.

The Icon Series stretches across the full ADE program. Highlights include Boris Acket’s monumental EINDER installation, with performances by the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and Elias Mazian, as well as ‘Swan Lake Remixed for ADE’, bringing Dutch National Ballet and ISH Dance Collective together at the Gashouder. Across the city, the series connects artists, institutions, scenes and generations that have shaped electronic music with those carrying its culture forward.

That history also takes centre stage at ADE Pro with ‘30 Years of ADE’ featuring key figures from throughout ADE’s legacy, including Anna Knaup, Maria Jimenez, Richard Zijlma, Jan-Willem van de Ven, Gary Smith, and moderator Dave Clarke, to look back at how ADE grew from 300 professional delegates and three nighttime venues in 1996 into the global gathering it is today.

ADE Arts & Culture:
electronic music across art, culture and the city.
ADE Arts & Culture continues to expand the boundaries of where and how electronic music can be experienced. The 30 YEARS ADE program moves through museums, churches, record stores, cultural institutions and unexpected spaces throughout Amsterdam. Highlights include ‘DISCO I’m coming out’ at Wereldmuseum Amsterdam, Slimfit’s hybrid live performances at Museum Ons’ Lieve Heer op Solder, Thomas Azier presenting his new work ‘PANORAMA’ at raam art space, while Colin Benders and Othernode transform Fabrique des Lumières through a live audiovisual performance for Dome Concerts.

On ADE Saturday, the Culture Hub returns to Felix Meritis with MC Culture at its heart. The program traces the voices, scenes and communities that have shaped electronic music, placing the role of the mic, storytelling and community within the wider electronic music culture.

The full ADE program includes more than 3,600 artists performing at 1,300+ events throughout 300+ venues across Amsterdam from October 21—25, 2026.
