Shaped by many, moving as one: The 30 YEARS ADE Icon Series

Thirty years of ADE live in countless moments. In the artists who found their audience here, the dance floors that brought people together, the ideas exchanged, the spaces transformed, and the generations that each left something behind for the next.

For our 30th anniversary, the ADE team selected thirty events from across the program for the 30 YEARS ADE Icon Series. From the people and institutions that helped shape electronic music’s history to new voices, ideas and forms carrying it forward, the series looks back not to stand still, but to see where we move from here.

Thirty years means millions of encounters we could never count. A first night, a last song, a conversation that became an idea, an artist discovering a new audience, strangers sharing a dance floor and generations finding each other through the same music. Most of those moments disappear as quickly as they happen, but together they shaped what ADE became. And every year, new ones are added to the story.
