30 YEARS ADE with our founding partner: BumaStemra
Since 1913, BumaStemra has protected the value of music, licensing its use across venues and businesses, from concert halls to pubs. Using technology to track where music is played, it helps ensure creators are recognised and paid accordingly. This year, BumaStemra is hosting a range of events across ADE Pro and Lab, covering everything from music rights and artist development to the future of the industry.

The value of music
ADE Pro at Felix Meritis
BumaStemra will host a program of talks across ADE Pro, alongside its traditional Cocktail Hour on ADE Friday from 17:00 - 18:30. Open to Pro Pass holders, the evening will be soundtracked by Sophie Ruijgrok, with cocktails by The Fabulous Shaker Boys.

ADE Lab
At ADE Lab on ADE Thursday, Don’t Go Viral Broke: Protect Your Rights, Money & Credits will offer practical advice for artists building their careers through content, community and digital platforms. Quinten Moeshart of DGTL Publishing, DJ/producer Rooléh and Mickelle Heijmans of Mickster Management will discuss rights, splits, credits and royalties, helping artists understand the business side of a career that can move quickly.

Step inside the BumaStemra Hub
BumaStemra Hub returns to Pulitzer Hotel, a place to join inspiring conversations, find information and meet fellow professionals, with free access for all. BumaStemra will also curate a series of conversations that bring together artists and industry professionals.
The Lights Are Going Out: On ADE Wednesday, they will host a roundtable examining the global decline of nightclubs and what it means for club culture, artists and the wider industry.
On ADE Thursday, The Listening Room x BumaStemra brings selected emerging artists together with experienced industry figures for direct, independent feedback. They're not looking to sign artists, just to give honest, conflict-free advice. Led by Jorn Heringa, Meindert Kennis and Roger de Graaf, the session offers guidance on artistic development, career building and navigating the international electronic music industry. For selected ADE Pro delegates who are artists, RSVP here.
The Hub continues on ADE Friday with Her Sound, Her Future!, a program from BumaStemra Rise Up and DGTL Academy focused on strengthening the position of women in electronic music. Through a documentary screening, panel discussion and networking, the event focuses on collective responsibility to create meaningful opportunities for emerging female artists.
Also on ADE Friday, the program will look ahead for The Next 30 Years: How Do We Maintain Our International Position in the Age of AI?. As ADE celebrates its 30th anniversary, policymakers and music creators will discuss how AI is changing music creation, use and commercialisation, and what this means for the future of the Dutch dance music ecosystem.
Throughout ADE, BumaStemra will also host an informal Meet & Greet, where artists, creators, publishers, managers and industry professionals can speak with its Member Services, Legal and Account Management teams about everything: royalties, registrations, copyright and contracts. No appointment required, just walk in, grab a free coffee and join the conversation, open to everyone.
