Yakine (FR)

Yakine, who comes from Paris, is interested by music since his early age…During his teenage, he played metal guitar and toured all over Europe concert to concert.. In this period his encounters brought him to discover de djaying world and it became his new passion. Thus, for the next 5 years he practices turntablism at the side of great dj’s. Thanks to his brother, who brings him to the parties Batocool (Logistic/Telegrpah) at Batofar in Paris, he really discovers the greatness of electronic music. From this point on Yakine enriches his music library with unique references such as Daniel Bell, Fumiya Tanaka, Matthew Dear, Pantytec...He then slowly leaves hip hop for house, house music where he founds his inspiration. Due to his will to continuously evolve, Yakine starts to work on producing. After a couple of months in November 2008, his first ep comes out on the label Esperanza followed by other releases on the labels Eklo, Je t’aime records and Circus Company. At the same time, he begins his residency for the Weirdo Magnet parties at Rex Club. In only a short period, Yakine improved his style consequently what brought him to being part of the new emerging hopes for the Parisian scene.
