Whiney (GB)

Artist
Coventry-born Will Hine has developed an impressive skill set, successfully carving out his signature sound and passion for drum and bass. With over twelve years spent in choirs and orchestras and not to mention his grade eight achievements in both violin and piano, it was inevitable that music was going to play a prominent part in Will’s future. At a mere eleven years old he discovered his love for drum & bass through Pendulum’s ‘Slam’. With his eyes and ears opened to wider musical possibilities he rinsed through their back catalogue and became inspired to create the music he’d become surrounded by. Since then he’s come a long way with his debut release on Subsphere Recordings back in 2012 – an exquisite collaboration with Keeno, the “Sweetest Sin” EP. Although no stranger to the Med School courtyard, Whiney’s already had a number of releases on both Hospital Records and Med School, featuring twice on the “New Blood” compilation series and Hospital’s “Sick Music 3″ and “Hospitality 2015″ album. Whiney’s impressive musicality and well-trained ear has catapulted him into an exclusive signing with Med School and we’re incredibly excited for what’s to come. What better way to celebrate than to invite him down to our next Med School showdown on the 27th March at Corsica Studios, London. We’re sure he’ll be bringing a whole load of new material to get your ears weak at the drums as well as delivering a perfectly balanced sixty minute set of high energy rises and epic breakdowns.
