Grammy Award-nominated DJ, producer, remixer, and house music pioneer Todd Terry has been a defining force in dance music for decades. Growing up in Brooklyn, Todd discovered European dance records and began experimenting with turntables and production, developing the distinctive sound that would become his trademark.

By 1988, Todd had broken through in the UK and Europe with groundbreaking underground tracks including “A Day in the Life,” “Weekend,” and “Can You Party,” released under aliases such as Todd Terry Project, House of Gypsies, and Royal House. These records helped establish him as one of house music’s most influential producers.

His crossover success followed with “Keep On Jumpin’,” featuring Martha Wash and Jocelyn Brown, which became a Top 10 UK hit and international dance anthem. “Something Going On” followed with further worldwide success.

Alongside his own productions, Todd became one of the industry’s most sought-after remixers, creating acclaimed versions for artists including Everything But The Girl, Annie Lennox, George Michael, Björk, SNAP!, Garbage, The Cardigans, Jamiroquai, 10,000 Maniacs, and The Lightning Seeds. His 1995 remix of Everything But The Girl’s “Missing” became a worldwide hit and introduced his signature house sound to an even broader audience.
