Three times crowned DMC World DJ Champion in a row, in 2018, 2019 and 2020, Jimmy aka SKILLZ is part of the elite of the latest generation of Turntablists. Impressing by the musicality of his arrangements, his technique and especially the perfect mastering of his tool, his passion for music comes through and the crowd wants more.
After several International Awards, he decided to use his technique for the benefit of the music. A pioneer and a true innovator with an eclectic musical taste, the native of the Basque Country has a single objective: make the crowd move at every performance. Moving from House to Hip-Hop, Afro to Bass Music, SKILLZ has no boundaries when he has turntables on his hands.
A true activist of this new scene where Urban and Electronic Music are one, he has performed alongside the best International Artists such as Vladimir Cauchemar, Skrillex, Vitalic or NTM in some of the best Venues and Festivals. His reputation has led him to collaborate with Brands such as Sennheiser, Phase, Adidas, Nixon and also with the most prestigious ones, such as Hermès, who requested him for several private performances in early 2023.
An experienced DJ, he also stands out on the Production side as one of the new talents to follow closely! His Remixes and Videos are supported by Major Artists such as Apashe, Habstrakt and Malaa to name a few. In 2020, he signed his first single with Sayan on the most important BassHouse French label "Gold Digger". Followed by his DJ Tool "You Know My Skillz", released in Vinyl on Beatsqueeze Records, which was a real success. He is not stopping there and promises us many releases to come.
Then, in the summer of 2022, he added another cord to his arc by founding a Music Festival for several thousand people in Biarritz. Widely covered in the Press, the "Biarritz Hall Music Festival" was a real hit and another edition is planned for 2023.
To summarize, SKILLZ is a technical and complete Artist, innovating and very promising, supported by the greatest names of the scene. The multiple world champion has a bright future ahead of him!
