Roy Gerritsen (NL)

Roy Gerritsen (1980) is founder and creative director of Boompje studio and FFORM. A small design boutique build on passion and focused on music-related visuals. Boompje studio was established in 1999 as a creative web outlet, but soon started to attract many national and international clients. After graduating (with honors) from the Utrecht school of arts (HKU), Roy devoted his time to music visualization. First through the medium of print (doing design work for cd covers, party flyers and vinyl sleeves) and slowly moving into the more complex medium of animation and motion graphics. Among his many performances in and outside the Netherlands, Roy visually supported dj’s on events like Sensation, Mysteryland, Lowlands festival. With Boompje Roy realised projects for A-brands and clients like Nike, MTV, Sony, Volvo, Microsoft among others. Currently Roy is working on his newly formed organisation called FFORM, to develop new techniques and tools to be used within the club and corporate event world. Using field experience and a constant need for innovation, FFORM is now developing a real-time based media server solution.
