Rob van Wegen (NL)

As a former festival producer, Rob has a very practical approach with sustainability. With 20 years experience in the festival industry, he has shifted completely to sustainability. His focus was making sustainability part of the DNA of ESNS. At ESNS, he has put energy into change management across the organisation. He has launched and scaled programmes with the sector and with the (local) community. His goal is to help the event and music sector become more sustainable.

Rob created a roadmap canvas. This is a tool to help festivals put their sustainable ambitions into a strategy for their future. This roadmap comes with a pragmatic approach that translates strategy into actions.

ESNS is part of the Green Deal Circular Festivals and G.O. Group by Yourope and other international collaborations on sustainability.
