Rene Engel is a Dutch DJ with over three decades of experience in the electronic scene. Coming from the underground, with a background rooted in soul, funk and hip-hop, Rene brings a distinct sense of groove and atmosphere to his sets. Whether he's playing deep house or driving techno, his selection is informed by years of digging — resulting in sets that feel human and layered, rather than just clinical loops.

He has performed at a wide range of key venues and festivals, including Paradiso, Woodstock ’69, Paradigm, Amsterdam Open Air and Shoeless Festival. His international experience includes sets at Sisyphos Berlin and Sonar Barcelona.
