Prabuddha (GB)

Electronic music is in the heart of Prabuddha and in his own words it's the way he connects most deeply to himself.

He was first exposed to house and trance music by his older sister who was raving during the 90’s and it was never in question that he was going to begin on a journey with electronic music himself. Growing up outside London he initially started to go to house and breakbeat events before quickly gravitating towards more underground sounds. He was heavily influenced by the music he heard at the legendary End nightclub and visits to Fabric during the mid 00’s heyday of minimal techno.

He began djing in 2004 and Immediately began organising events in his home town of Colchester. In 2009 he held a residency at the Wonky Boat Party in Ibiza before focusing his energy into bringing underground music to the Tyrol region of Austria. This culminated in 2014 with the Alpfresco Festival which he organised together with Bristol's Alfresco Disco.

Then began a 10 year hiatus, a time he spent focusing on meditation. It was from this space that Techno Therapy was born a new event series in his now hometown of Amsterdam. Techno Therapy is an event where music and awareness are joined to bring people in contact with themselves and each other. In other words a proper rave!!!

Musically he straddles the middle ground between House and Techno with heavy references to his UK roots. “When DJing I feel a great responsibility to try to take people on an emotional journey and to be moved by the music they hear”.
