Playin' 4 The City are a mysterious entity, best described, in their own words, as "Olivier Portal and friends." Following a stream of acclaimed deep house releases in the late '90s and early '00s, the band migrated from Paris to Chicago, where they held a residency at the now-defunct Mad Bar. Despite their rapid rise, Portal unexpectedly put the project on hiatus in 2003.
