ØRSHE began by chasing a feeling that became increasingly difficult to find.

While studying in Germany, the Hungarian-born artist was drawn into Berlin’s underground, where techno became about more than the music itself. What fascinated her was the way a DJ could gradually change the state of a room; building tension, creating release, and reaching those rare moments when everything outside the dance floor seems to disappear.

As her own taste became more defined, those moments became harder to find. Eventually, listening wasn’t enough. She wanted to understand how that feeling was built, and whether she could learn to create it herself.

That curiosity still shapes the way ØRSHE plays today. Now based in the Netherlands, she gravitates toward driving, hypnotic techno built from heavy 909s, raw percussion and grooves that evolve rather than constantly demand attention. Her focus is on what happens over time: how tension develops, when to push, when to hold back, and how far a room can be pulled into the moment.

Production became the next part of that search in 2023. Since releasing her first track, she has continued experimenting and developing a language of her own, without being in a hurry to define it.

For ØRSHE, finding a recognisable sound is not about forcing an identity. It is about paying attention to what she keeps returning to, and following that feeling wherever it leads.
