Nazlican Eren (AU)

Artist & Speaker (DJ, Culture Consultant, Community Organiser)

Nazlıcan Eren is a connector and facilitator at heart, working across music, culture, and community to bring artists and industry together. Over her 10-year career, she has worked as an artist manager, helping lay the foundations for 5x ARIA-nominated R&B artist BOY SODA and indie-pop savant tiffi, led label management and marketing at One Day Entertainment, and worked across national campaigns at Six Boroughs PR. Her commitment to creating access into the music industry extended into her own initiatives, where she co-founded ONE OFF TRAKS, a national grassroots writing camp for women, trans, and non-binary creatives, fostering connection, collaboration, and more equitable pathways for the underrepresented.

She currently works as Engagement Manager at Music Australia, delivering national funding initiatives and industry engagement programs to strengthen Australia’s contemporary music sector. With a foot in both the institutional and grassroots sides of the industry, she brings a nuanced understanding of the sector and the communities shaping it.

As a broadcaster, curator and DJ, Nazlıcan has long been drawn to the sounds that shape a city’s musical identity. Through her flagship fbi.radio shows JUICE and Wednesday Sunset, she spent years platforming Sydney’s rnb and hip-hop scene, connecting local artists to audiences in Australia and beyond. That same curatorial sensibility informs her DJ sets as nazty gurl. She likes her sets to reflect the way she instinctively connects with people, a sensibility that has led her to support the likes of Vegyn (UK), OK Williams (UK), Young Franco (AUS) and Human Movement (AUS), whilst making her mark at cultural Sydney institutions Phoenix Central Park and Dayshift Festival.
