Mtrex (NL)

A Dutch techno dj/producer with decades of underground experience and a deep-rooted passion for electronic music. His journey began in the late ’80s, discovering house and techno on the dancefloor before joining pirate radio station Discoaction, where imported US dance records shaped his taste and vision. Soon after, he started experimenting with drum machines, synthesizers, effect boxes, guitars, and early computer setups—pioneering raw, experimental jams where no two sessions ever sounded the same. His first productions emerged on the legendary Amiga 500 using Cakewalk, foreshadowing the hybrid approach he still embraces today.
In 2021, Mtrex reignited his creative fire, fusing old-school soul with modern production technology. His sound is hypnotic and groove-driven, underground yet DJ-friendly—pulsating around an energetic 140 BPM, with addictive rhythms and a touch of controlled weirdness designed to move dancefloors.
Collaborating with his son and techno DJ Maszlo, Mtrex bridges generations, keeping his sets and productions innovative, forward-thinking, and connected to the next wave of ravers. This father-son synergy adds a unique dimension.
With releases on Let Techno Unite (NL), Mtrex is building an international presence. Both in the studio and behind the decks, he delivers dark hypnotic flow and relentless energy—crafted for true techno heads who seek depth, drive, and timeless underground hypnotic power.
