Mauricio Soares (BR)
Mauricio Soares is an experienced Brazilian strategist and creative thinker. His career spanned across multiple industries such as education, technology, real estate, innovation and live entertainment. Over the last decade he played a leading role in the development of electronic music in Brazil. As director and spokesperson for ID&T Brasil and Plusnetwork he had the opportunity to work in world-class projects such as Tomorrowland, Electric Zoo, Milkshake and elrow, as well as several other international tours and local labels. His launch strategy for Tomorrowland Brasil was wildly successful and resulted in nearly a million pre-registrations for the first edition of the festival in 2015, leading to a sold-out scenario in just a few hours of sales. As curator of Brazil Music Conference (BRMC), public speaker and a frequent guest writer for a number of segmented media outlets, he has helped to raise the bar of the debate around electronic music in his country, bringing attention to economic, behavioral and cultural aspects of the scene. Over the years, Mauricio has also consulted for brands, event promoters and artists. More recently, inspired by the Gashouder, he founded ARCA (@arcaspaces), the most iconic event venue of São Paulo, occupying a huge repurposed metal industry warehouse. Together with Mario Sergio de Albuquerque, his partner in ARCA and one of the founders of Laroc Club and AME Club, Mauricio is now dedicated to developing the night program for the venue through M-S Live, their new company, promoting both leading international labels and artists as well as their own event creations.
