South London born and based Martha has fast become one of underground music’s most

progressive DJs. Martha’s weekly NTS show celebrates electronic music culture across the

world; reflecting the temperature in London every Friday, 3-4PM UK time.

Recent guests on Martha’s radio shows include Aïsha Devi, Mobilegirl, Flohio. Pen Pals, a

feature on the show, celebrates emerging electronic music scenes across the globe, with

on-the-ground reporters sending voice notes & tracks from their communities. Recent Pen Pals

have explored scenes in Bratislava, Trinidad, Buenos Aires, and Nottingham.

Live highlights include DJ’ing alongside Fatima Al Qadiri for Hyperdub’s Ø night, as well as

supporting Total Freedom at Oscillate Wildly, Pussy Riot in Peckham, Flohio at her debut

headline show, and Kode9 at the ICA. Martha has played b2b with Air Max '97 at Fabric and DJ’d

alongside Daphni, Mall Grab, Zinc and Special Request for Resident Advisor. She has also

previously played Warehouse Project, Printworks for Annie Mac, Bestival, Boiler Room, Tate

Modern, Outlook Festival, Cakeshop in Seoul, and shared line ups with Ikonika, L-Vis 1990,

Pusha T, Actress, Benji B, Bok Bok and more. Martha is also an official host of Boiler Room’s

new vertical, Hard Dance.

Martha has crafted guest mixes for Discwoman, Resident Advisor, Triple J, Dummy, Rinse FM,

Seoul Community Radio, with her mix for Hyponik earning inclusion in FACT’s Mixes of the

Week. Martha is also an exhibiting sound artist and was commissioned by the Laundry Arts

Program to interpret the relationship between sound and memory in the first installment of

their exhibition series.

Also an accomplished radio producer and journalist, Martha hosts and produces Resident

Advisor’s focal podcast The Hour, a series of documentaries and discussions exploring

Electronic music culture. Within The Hour, Martha has covered an extensive range of topics,

including Techno Feminism, dance music trolls, the economics of electronic music, and a

tribute to music theorist Mark Fisher, and interviewed the likes of The Black Madonna, Steffi,

Flying Lotus, Jlin, and Ben Klock. Martha produced Annie Nightingale’s legendary BBC Radio 1

show for 4 years.

Martha set up Tempo in 2018, a run club for South London's creatives to connect with their city

and each other. Tempo embodies Martha's relationship to music and sport; she has a long

relationship with Nike, having modeled for their ‘London’s Fastest’ campaign in 2017 and the

Hackney 5k campaign in 2019, and has also DJ’d at many of their events. Not limited to a run

club, Tempo has a radio show on female-led station Foundation FM, where Martha curates

work-out music & ambient mixes for warm-down/meditation.
