Marije van Kapel (NL)

Since 2017, Marije van Kapel works as a festival producer for Friendly Fire. This organisation is known for festivals such as, amongst others, Best Kept Secret, City Sounds, Indian Summer en Tuckerville, and for arranging bookings and management of various national and international artists.

Previously, Marije has worked as a freelance producer at festivals such as Amsterdam Light Festival, Tweetakt, Into The Great Wide Open, Eurosonic Noorderslag and Bevrijdingsfestival Utrecht. During her time at Bevrijdingsfestival Utrecht, she worked on green and sustainability issues. These themes always interested her; while staying realistic, she is convinced of our need to look at the impact we make on nature and the environment. The above is also high on the agenda of Friendly Fire, which aims for organizing their events in the most responsible way in the future.
