Maethelvin (FR)

Maethelvin is a French electronic music composer, born in 1983 in Nantes. He started composing music in the late 90’s on several different synths and samplers, such as MPC’s, DX27 etc. He was very influenced by artists such as Giorgio Moroder, Jan Hammer, Robert Palmer, Wally Badarou, Kano.. but als by video game and US tv shows music. In april 2007 he joined Valerie’s team. A blog founded by his friend David Grellier (a French electronic composer better known as College. As an historical member of the Valerie Crew, Maethelvin has made a lot of mixtapes and several demos. In 2012 Maethelvin released a 7” “The last escape” / “Cruising”. He also composed many remixes for talented artists such as Minitel Rose and Kris Menace (ft. Miss Kittin). He is also currently making productions with Lenparrot. As a dj, Maethelvin is providing a powerful mix, from Italo-disco to future-disco reviewing 30 years of music. Now he’s playing an amazing live set with synth-funkelectro tracks between groovy downtempo and hot clubbing.
