Josh Cheon (US)

Artist
As a teenager in New Jersey, Josh Cheon was obsessed with music from the 1980s, ignoring fashionable grunge and pop-punk in favor of The Cure, Siouxsie and the Banshees and, of course, Bauhaus. After cutting his teeth working for legendary labels 4AD and DFA, Cheon moved across the country to the Bay Area and started his own imprint, Dark Entries. The label inhabits its own space in the scene, offering sought-after reissues of forgotten classics from acts like San Francisco dance pioneer Patrick Cowley and proto-techno innovators Smersh alongside relevant new material.
