Jeff Solo (NL)

Jeff van Hoek is the co-founder and Executive Director of Operator, an independent online radio station and cultural platform rooted in Rotterdam. Founded in 2017, Operator brings together emerging talent and established artists through radio broadcasts, curated events and collaborations, creating space for alternative sounds, experimentation and underrepresented voices.

Drawing on over a decade of experience as a DJ, producer and event programmer under the name Jeff Solo, Jeff combines a broad musical perspective with a commitment to independent culture and community. At Operator, he oversees the organisation’s development, strategy and partnerships, connecting Rotterdam’s music scene with wider national and international networks. His work centres on supporting artists, strengthening the city’s cultural infrastructure and creating opportunities for exchange across music, arts and nightlife.
