Jeff Solo (NL)

Jeff van Hoek, better known by his stage name Jeff Solo, moved to the city of Rotterdam at a young age, enabling him to frequent popular events such as Now&Wow, Off_Corso and Las Palmas. This vibrant metropolis also served as a good learning school to experience the ever changing musical developments, as well as deepen his interest in the art of DJ’ing. By 2009, he got his first break and hasn’t looked back ever since. Jeff is part of a new generation of DJ’s that refuse to be restricted by preconceived notions or outside expectations. Never afraid to innovate behind the decks, Jeff excels at surprising the dancefloor with an extensive selection of tunes from various genres (House, Disco, Pop, Rock, Wave, Hip-Hop), seamlessly blending them together with a sharp ear and vision. In addition to his commitment manning the decks in the clubs, Jeff also operates behind the scenes as a consultant and coordinator for fashion shows, Festivals, as well as a slew of corporate events domestic and overseas: Bacardi, G-Star, Jameson, Amsterdam Fashion Week, Bread and Butter Berlin, Converse, Woei, Diesel, Public_, the list goes on. Still based in the lively harbour city, Jeff remains active as one of the main DJ’s and initiators in Rotterdam’s energetic nightlife scene. Playing at all the club nights and festivals that matter and (co)-founding exciting concepts like No Rio, Don, NIKO and SOLO. In 2015 Jeff will continue to focus on the realm of production and expansion of his music duties. Stay tuned!
