Jam van der Valk (NL)

With just four years of experience in Amsterdam’s electronic music scene, Jam has built a career across club programming, festivals and artist development.

His journey started at Happy Feelings, where he worked as a label manager before moving into weekly programming at Shelter Amsterdam. There, he developed a strong understanding of audiences, artists and the different formats that make a night work.

Alongside his work at Shelter, he became involved with The Loft, further expanding his experience in programming and developing line ups across different club environments. He later joined ID&T, where he worked on the programming of events including Mysteryland, Straf_Werk and DGTL.

Today, Jam works across Shelter, The Loft and Gashouder, programming around 170 shows per year across the three venues. A big part of his approach is giving artists room to grow, from building & learning in a club environment to moving into larger scale venues and eventually playing spaces like Gashouder.
