Hollywood & Vine (NL)

The Rotterdam & The Hague based dj duo Hollywood & Vine, Elke Verschoor and Ofra Beenen both born in ‘85, fell in love with each others’ taste in music in the summer of 2011. It quickly became their own summer of love and they have been working the dancefloor every weekend ever since. Their priority is to move the audience with a wild range of disco, italo, new wave, Chicago house and early Detroit techno, and taking them back to legendary clubs like Paradise Garage and Roxy (Amsterdam). With both ladies having a performing background in dance and theatre they are willing to give the audience also something to look at. Hollywood & Vine have worked many stages at various venues in The Netherlands. Fashion parties such as Hilfiger Denim Live (alongside Peaches), Amsterdam Fashionweek, H&M Loves Music and the opening for Weekday. Also festivals like Lowlands, Milkshake Festival, 8BahnArea Festival and Amsterdam Dance Event. They played at infamous parties like Jägerland Tour, Vice Magazine releaseparty, NON Records label night, Italo Elite, and in 2011 made their first festival appearance at Now & Wow Fest and then became ambassadors for Now & Wow. Being part of an underground rave movement ‘The Shelter ‘ lead by Boris & Boris (Amsterdam) they played alongside house legends like Fierce Ruling Diva & 100% Isis. Now they found a new home by the name of PIP, based in The Hague and were made residents in the beginning of 2013. As founders of VIXENS, a club night where only female artists take place behind the decks, they are willing to present a series of parties in the future. Hollywood & Vine love to sing and make music and are working with several artists to form their first EP. With that in mind H&V will be working on their live performances as well as their dj-ing.
