George von LIger (FI)

George Von Liger has always been involved with music. From a very young age, he accompanied his father to his gigs already in Greece, which was the beginning of a life with music. More involved George gotten when he was let behind the mic & decks of a radio station in the late 90s, starting out with DnB, Jungle, Goa & Psy Trance, Techno and even Hardcore to test the waters. A few years after this very interesting crash course throughout the genres GVL finally found his style - House Music. From there on he was a regular guest in all big clubs in Greece such as the Privilege in Crete, big beach events in Mykonos and of course in all major venues of Athens. After moving to Finland in the early 2000's it didn't take him long and he was the resident DJ of Finland's biggest club chain "Giggling Marlin" with venues all over the country and The Hot Club. GvL's DJ skills described as indeed remarkable, paired with his hunky looks and cool appearance gained him bookings in shopping malls, prestigious restaurants and lounges for major local and international brands. The real breakthrough however came in 2005 when GVL was first asked to play the countries biggest open air festival "COLORS FESTIVAL", alongside Erick Morillo, Tiesto, Sander Van Doorn, Ian Carey, Stonebridge, Hoxton Whores, John Digweed, Marcus Schulz, Mark Doyle, Cosmic Gate and many more, which was his inspiration to start producing music. Beside the DJ gigs every weekend, George Von Liger kept very busy in doing Remixes for various artists and hosting his on a Greek radio station called VIEW FM from 2010 - 2014, a very popular radio station with a huge follower ship of his show and a new project together with Michael Murica at an UK based internet station so called GOODFELLAS at youbroadcastradio.london until today, inviting the most in demand talents of House Music on a weekly basis. In 2011 a dream became true when he was invited to participate at a massive event at Nikki Beach Miami during WMC. He had the honour to play back2back with the legendary D.O.N.S. alongside with DJs such as Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Tristan Garner, Gregori Klosman, Prok & Fitch, Muzzaik, Miss Divine, David Vendetta, Patric La Funk and many more. A once in a lifetime experience. After his debut release on Riseup Records Israel & Honeywell Recordings U.K George Von Liger is signed to Shute Digital, a label based out of Manchester, England and since early 2015 as well to the famous tradition label Dos Or Die Records of the legendary D.O.N.S. Many DJ's around the world are supporting GvL´s work including Carl Cox, D.O.N.S., Emmerson & Honeywell, Claudio Lari, Phonk D´or, Disco Dice, Markus Schulz, R-Wan. So far GvL was asked to remix for: David Sense, Natalia Barbin, De Vox, Ruben Rivas, Miss Ilda, JD MIller, Premeson and new promising collaborations are in the pipeline with producers from Sweden, The Netherlands, Finland, Israel & Poland as also a new project with artists from Indonesia and Japan which will be set in stone later this year.
