Gareth Davies (PT)
Born in Liverpool, he first interacted with the music business as music editor on the university newspaper in Nottingham. Dance and electronic music have been constant themes throughout his career, from This Heat's 24 Track Loop at These Records/Recommended Distribution to Rough Trade Records and Dave Lee's Republic label (classic releases like Turntable Orchestra) he then took the international leap from London to Hamburg and Polygram (New Order, Portishead, FFRR) and PIAS (Propellerheads/Wall of Sound, Laurent Garnier, Mr Oizo/F Com), with spells at V2 in Berlin and DJ management for Moonbootica/Moguai before joining Kontor Records, Germany's biggest and most successful dance label (ATB, Scooter, VIZE). In 2024 he joined Xelon, the renowned Australian independent digital distribution company, working with labels like Central Station and Sweat It Out.
Established in 2007, Xelon was one of Australia’s first digital music distributors and now works with over 1,000 labels and artists globally.
