Emellie O’Brien’s extensive knowledge of entertainment production and commitment to environmental justice has earned her the reputation as the East Coast’s leading production Eco Supervisor, a role that she established throughout her 5 years of trailblazing the field of sustainable entertainment production. Her sustainability leadership on The Amazing Spider-Man 2 contributed to it being acclaimed as “the most eco-friendly blockbuster in Sony Pictures’ history.” She is the author of “Going Green & Saving Green: A Cost-Benefit Analysis of Sustainable Filmmaking”– a Producer’s Guild of America Green report. She is also a founding member of the Film/Entertainment Chapter of the ISSP (International Society of Sustainability Professionals). EOB is a Tory Burch Foundation Fellow and a recipient of the 2014 Toyota/Net Impact Personal Impact award. EOB graduated with honors from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts with a B.F.A. in Film & Television and a minor in Producing.
